I had a chance to spend some time with a real down to earth writer.  His name was Frank Miniter.  Frank took a long 3 hour drive to visit me in my classroom and visit the academy to see what a day in my life was like.  From the moment we talked on the phone I knew it was going to be a fun time.  When Frank arrived I was impressed by his willingness to listen and by his ability to absorb my efforts.  After allowing him some time to share in the activities at Camp Compass I knew he liked what he saw.  His rapport with the kids was sincere and I’m looking forward to his writings about what he was able to discern in an upcoming NRA publication.  Thanks Frank for opening me up to the world and here is Frank’s site to learn more about him.
